Agreement Writing

From 8:30am to 12:30pm on Friday, September 25, 2026 Northern Community Mediation is offering a four-hour,  Advanced Mediator Training  session titled “Writing Sustainable Agreements.” The rationale for this workshop is based upon the facet that courts occasionally have found that some mediation agreements are unenforceable because of the manner in which they are written.

Therefore, during this workshop, you will
Review the court findings relating to unenforceable mediation agreements
Learn how to use who, what, where, when, how and why effectively in agreement writing
Practice actual agreement writing
Discuss the role and value of attorneys at the mediation table
Learn how dismissals & judgments need to be used in small claims cases.

The workshop is limited to 20 participants and is on a first-come, first-serve basis. For further information, do not hesitate to contact Executive Director Dr. Jane Millar at 231.487.1771.
