General Civil cases can be heard in either District Court or Circuit Court. The types of cases considered to be General Civil are Breach of Contract, disagreements between consumers and merchants, disputes between professionals and clients, debts, issues relating to property and real estate, and neighborhood disputes.
General Civil District Court disputes involve cases valued up to $25,000. Although not required to do so, disputants can be represented by attorneys
