Northern Community Mediation hosts two theatre parties each year. The Petoskey Theatre Party is held
the second Monday in March, and the Charlevoix Theatre Party is held the second Monday in October

Petoskey Theatre Party

A Wonderful Door Prize Donated by Lisa Hicklen

On Monday, March 9, 2020, NCM held its 16th annual theatre party in Petoskey at the Petoskey Cinema. From 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, people enjoyed food provided by Beard’s Brewery, City Park Grill, D&W Market, Jet’s Pizza, Jimmy John’s, Kilwin’s of Petoskey, Petoskey Pretzel and Up In Smoke. At 6:15 pm, there was a drawing for door prizes from 10 different donors. Additionally, there was a 50/50 raffle. Teh lucky winner was Bob MacKenzie, who donated half of his winnings back to NCM. At 7:00 pm, the doors opened for everyone to go to one of the eight movies that was showing. The most popular movie was Call of the Wild, followed by The Way Back, The Invisible Man, Onward, Sonic the Hedgehog, 1917, and tied for last place–Impractical Joker and Jumanji.

 


Charlevoix Theatre Party

On Monday, October 14, 2019, NCM held its fourth annual Theatre Party in Charlevoix. From 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm, people enjoyed delicious appetizers at the Weathervane Restaurant. Wonderful door prizes were provided by local merchants and companies. And, there was a 50/50 raffle as well. At 6:45 pm, everyone went to the Charlevoix Cinema and was able to choose seeing one of the three movies that was playing. Of the three movies playing, most of the people went to see Downton Abbey. There were a few, however, who chose to see Joker, and another handful that went to see The Addams Family. All of this was for the low price of $25 per ticket.

The 2020, fifth annual, Charlevoix Theatre Party has been scheduled for Monday, October 12.
