Fee Policies

Although fees are not charged for cases that are court referred, the participants are asked to make a donation to help curtail administrative costs. The suggested donation is based upon the fee schedule relevant to the type of case.

With the exception of divorce cases, the fee is charged to the initiator of a case that is not court referred. In divorce cases, the fee is split between the two parties.

The Intake Coordinator sends out an invoice once mediation has been scheduled recommending that the fee be paid in advance or brought to mediation. If the fee is not received in this manner, the Executive Director sends out a second notice to the party.

No fee is charged if an individual cannot afford to pay such a fee. This determination is at the discretion of the Intake Coordinator.

NCM reserves the right to charge for expenses incurred, such as airfare.

It is the policy of NCM to charge a $25.00 fee if the party(ies) cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled mediation time or fail to show.

Northern Community Mediation reserves the right to decline providing mediation services to individuals who have not paid for previous mediation services.
